Earth is bursting with life. From the bottom of the oceans to the highest mountains, plants, fungi and animals have found many ways to adapt to their environments.
Throughout the month of May, we’ll be exploring the fauna and flora of our world to understand the great diversity of life on planet Earth. The series of events and activities will include shows, workshops, talks, activity tables and special interventions from the Critter Keepers and The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).

Meet the Expert – Can Sharks Help Human Fight Diseases?
In this new ‘Meet The Expert’ talk (aimed at an adult audience of 16+), we will learn more about sharks and how they protect themselves from infection.
Wildlife Weekend – 28 & 29 May
Come and learn all about local and world wildlife. Explore the life of the amazing bottlenose dolphins with RSPB and meet new walking and crawling friends with the Critter Keeper.
The Kingdom of Fungi – 20 May – 30 June
An interactive exhibition for all ages and a fascinating insight into the world of fungi! Discover how these intriguing organisms can be both saviours and killers and how researchers at the University of Aberdeen are leading the fight against fatal fungal infections.
