NASA in Aberdeen “Inspiring the Next Generation” will return to the Granite City for a second year, once again engaging with primary and secondary school children, as well as the general public.

Taking place from the 19th of March 2018, former Astronaut Bob Cenker and Ex NASA Robotics Engineer, Mason Markee will visit Aberdeen in collaboration with NASA to take part in a week of activities with the aim of inspiring the next generation in STEM related Careers. They will also be joined by Hyang Lloyd, President and Co-founder of the Scottish Space School Foundation USA, who took part in the first ‘NASA in Aberdeen’, as well as Nicole Lloyd who will discuss her University & NASA experiences. The week will include engagement with primary and second school students, a public lecture at Robert Gordon’s College and a fun family weekend at Aberdeen Science Centre.

On Saturday 24th March,  Aberdeen Science Centre will host a family day from 10am- 12pm during which time ticket holders will hear from Bob Cenker and Mason Markee, as well as enjoy a number of robotic and space related activities


The Centre will be closed for this ticketed event but will reopen at 12pm with free admission to all members of the public for the rest of the day to enjoy the activities available in the centre
