Aberdeen Science Centre aims to inspire a lifelong interest in science by creating engaging experiences.

Our clubs offer a fantastic chance for children to enjoy a more in-depth experience of STEM subjects within a relaxed enviroment.

These clubs enable children to meet new friends, develop confidence and leadership skills all while having fun through STEM based activities.

Junior Coders (6-8 year olds)

Monday 4th – Thursday 7th July

Aberdeen Science Centre offers a coding club specifically for 6-8 year olds. Tried and tested by kids this age, the club allows children to discover programming in an age appropriate way through games, crafts and hands-on experience with coding technology.

Junior Coders Club will run daily from 10.00-12.00 on Monday 4th July to Thursday 7th July. It is suitable for children aged 6-8 years and will cost £20 per child for the full four sessions.

Coding Club (9-12 year olds)

Monday 25th – Thursday 28th July

In Coding Club participants are encouraged to use their imagination and explore coding through fun and engaging activities.

Coding Club will run daily from 10.00-12.00 on Monday 25th July to Thursday 28th July. It is suitable for children aged 9-12 years and will cost £20 per child for the full four sessions.

Engineering Club - Castaway Edition (9-12 Year olds)

Monday 18th – Thursday 21st July

Mayday! Mayday! Your ship has been wrecked by a brutal storm, leaving you stranded on the shore of some small, uninhabited desert island. A few materials and items have washed up with you but who knows how long it will be before you are found.  

With each session of our Engineering Club, you will come across new challenges, such as collecting water and transporting supplies. Will you survive the island and find the way home?

Engineering Club will run daily from 10.00-12.00 on Monday 18th July to Thursday 21st July. It is suitable for children aged 9-12 years and will cost £20 per child for the full four sessions.

Space Club (7-12 year olds) - FULLY BOOKED

Monday 11th – Thursday 14th July

Rockets, astronomy, biology and technology  – Aberdeen Science centre explore it all in our Space Club! Through games, crafts and hands-on experiments your children will journey into space and explore the universe.

Space Club will run daily from 10.00-12.00 on Monday 11th July to Thursday 14th July. It is suitable for children aged 7-12 years and will cost £20 per child for the full four sessions.

STEM Club - Archaeology Edition (7-10 Year Olds) - FULLY BOOKED

 Saturday 28th May – Saturday 18th June

Have you ever wondered about the people who lived long before us, like where they lived or what they left behind? In STEM Club – Archaeology edition, participants will get an exciting introduction into how we go about understanding our past through hands-on activities, games and crafts.

STEM Club will run weekly from 14.00-16.00 starting Saturday 28th May, and with the final session on Saturday 18th June. It is suitable for children aged 7-10 years and will cost £20 per child for the full four sessions.

Goblin Car Club (9-11 year olds) - fully booked

Calling all race drivers! Goblin Car Club is about to begin!

In this club, budding engineers will spend eight weeks working together to build a kit car at Aberdeen Science Centre which they will then race at an event at the Grampian Transport Museum. Fancy being a driver? How about part of the pit crew? Or do your skills lie in design? Come along and be part of a real life race team!

This club is suitable for 9-11 year olds and will run every Saturday from 23rd April until race day on the 11th June. The standard club dates will take place from 10am- 12noon and the cost of the club is £30 per child.
