COVID 19 Guidelines
Covid-19: guidelines for your visit
From the 26th December mainland Scotland moves to level 4 restrictions. This means that Aberdeen Science Centre will be closed. All affected bookings will be automatically refunded.
When you come to visit us, things will look different!
Safety come first (closely followed by discovery and fun), and it is important that everyone follows the Scottish Government guidance to protect themselves and others. This means you must respect the new guidelines in place at Aberdeen Science Centre but it shouldn’t stop you from exploring as a group and having fun. The full Scottish Government Guideline can be found here.
The Scottish Government’s latest advice limits group meetings to a maximum of six people from two households (under-12s do not count), from Monday 14 September.
From 6pm Friday 18th December, Aberdeen City moves into Level 3. Aberdeen Science Centre will remain open throughout as per the Scottish Government guidance for Visitor Attractions. Travel restrictions will be in place and you should not visit us if you live out with Aberdeen City. Do not travel to Aberdeen Science Centre from Level 1 or Level 2. If you have a booking after the 18th December and you live out with Aberdeen City we will be in touch to refund your booking. This process will take some time so we appreciate your patience whilst we work through the bookings.
During your visit we have put a number of measures in place to keep you, other visitors and our team safe which are explained in the video below.

wash your hands
Hand sanitiser stations are located throughout the centre, but please remember to wash your hands regularly with soap and water.
We’re doing all we can to ensure your hands-on experience is clean and safe, this means we have regular ‘touch point’ cleans, deep cleans and anti-viral fogging.
Our till points are operating a cashless system, this means payment by card or contactless only at reception, and in the shop and cafe.
NHS TEST and PRotect
We’re recording the time visitors arrive and contact details which will only be shared with the Test and Protect team if someone who has visited the Centre tests positive for Covid-19.
