Covid-19: guidelines for your visit
Aberdeen Science Centre is open – pre-booking is essential and you can purchase tickets online.
When you come to visit us, things will look different!
Safety comes first (alongside discovery and fun), and it is important that everyone follows the Scottish Government guidance to protect themselves and others. The full Scottish Government Guideline can be found here.
During your visit we have put a number of measures in place to keep you, other visitors and our team safe which are explained in the video below:
If you feel unwell, please stay at home
If you feel unwell please do not visit. Give us a call and we’ll reschedule your booking.
As part of our control measures, we may take your temperature on arrival. We will not keep a record of your temperature.
Please stay with your group, be respectful of others and follow our social distancing signage.
wash your hands
Hand sanitiser stations are located throughout the centre, but please remember to wash your hands regularly with soap and water.
We’re doing all we can to ensure your hands-on experience is clean and safe, this means we have regular ‘touch point’ cleans, deep cleans and anti-viral fogging.
Our till points are operating a cashless system, this means payment by card or contactless only at reception, and in the shop and cafe.
NHS TEST and PRotect
We’re recording the time visitors arrive and contact details which will only be shared with the Test and Protect team if someone who has visited the Centre tests positive for Covid-19.
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures throughout Aberdeen Science Centre for you, other visitors and our team however, a risk of Covid-19 exists in every public place where people are present. By coming to Aberdeen Science Centre, you are accepting that you have a duty to take steps to ensure your own safety and respect other groups who are also visiting.
We’re good to go
The ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard and supporting mark mean we can demonstrate that we are adhering to the Scottish Government and public health guidance, and have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment to check we have the required processes and protocols in place.
