Set Sail with Science in our Boat Builders Workshop! 

Ahoy, young explorers! Join us this May and June for a hands-on workshop where science meets the sea. 

We’re diving into the fascinating world of boats and ships – from mighty Viking longboats to towering tall ships and more modern vessels. Discover how they’re built, what keeps them afloat, and why some things sink. 

Together we will experiment with different materials, investigate buoyancy, then get crafty as you design and test your very own boat in water. Will it sink or sail? 

Perfect for ages 6 and up. 

For our younger visitors (under 6), we’ll be running a story session with a fun floating and sinking activity. 

Plus, all around the centre you’ll find extra activities including:
🚤 Boat origami station
🧠 Memory games and puzzles
🌊 Cartesian diver station – kids and grown ups will love testing

On offer on weekends between 3 May – 29 June, and during Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire school holidays. Not sure if it’s a holiday, give us a call!
