Aberdeen Science Centre provides a wide variety of educational shows, workshops and resources that have been developed for schools to complement and support the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. Delivered either at our newly redeveloped centre in Aberdeen, digitally or within an educational setting.
The activities provided at Aberdeen Science Centre reinforce learning in a different way. Pupils have the opportunity to carry out experiments for example using equipment, resources and unique approaches that may not be available in a school setting.
Each session is designed to not only inspire young people in STEM, but to spark a sense of curiosity and exploration.
What does a visit to Aberdeen Science Centre look like?
A school or class visit to Aberdeen Science Centre is one of many highlights to the academic year. Pupils will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition floor, interacting with over 60 new exhibits spread across 6 zones and take part in one of our engaging workshops or shows.
Your visit will be structured to meet the requirements of your class, focusing on a subject/topic of interest if required. Our education team can also incorporate appropriate activities for children who require extra support or have learning difficulties.
