Mini explorers assemble!

Created especially for our younger scientists, Aberdeen Science Centre’s under-6 zone provides opportunities to build, play and discover the world of science – and its free entry for explorers under 3.

Filled with puzzles, mirrors and sounds our zone for under 6’s is the perfect introduction to science, allowing our younger visitors to engage and interact with science in new and engaging ways.

Coloured Shadows

Discover a World of Illusions

Explore optical illusions and how your brain can play tricks on you.

Maker Tables

Little explorers can use their imaginations to build and create science-based models.

Little Explorer Days

During term time we also host dynamic themed sessions in our dedicated under 6’s zone, just for wee ones! Each session focusses on a specific science theme and are filled with things that bring the topic to light in an age appropriate way, like hands-on activities, messy-play, crafts and story sessions.

The activities aim to help children discover and learn about their bodies, their senses and the world they live in and most importantly, to play and have fun. You can see what our current Little Explorer Day theme is on our What’s On page.
