Venure Hire Rates and Packages
Pricing isn’t rocket science at Aberdeen Science Centre! To give you an idea of costs we have given prices below however, as many elements of your event will impact the rate we do suggest contacting us directly so we can create a bespoke quote for your corporate, social or private event.
Our pricing is carefully considered to give you value for money whilst also providing flexibility in your booking. The prices below provide an idea of our rates and package. We recommend contacting us to receive a free no obligation quote, tailored to your requirements.
All prices exclude VAT.
By booking Aberdeen Science Centre you are supporting a local educational charity that brings science engagement to thousands of children and adults across north east Scotland every year.
Room only hire rates
These rates apply to room only, with no catering included. Some rooms include AV as standard, please check with us to make sure we can meet your requirements.

Package Rates
Day Delegate Rate: £38 per person + VAT
(minimum 10 delegates)
Take the hassle out of organising your meeting and opt for our Day Delegate Rate package – a simple price per head that includes everything you could need for a successful meeting or event. Let us know how many people are attending and we’ll do the rest; you just need to turn up on the day.
Our Day Delegate Rate includes:
- Dedicated event manager
- Whole day use of the room (Neutron and Proton only) and IT equipment
- Cold lunch platter, encompassing a selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls and hors d’oeuvres
- Three refreshment breaks, served with luxury biscuits as standard and mini-bakes in the afternoon
- Access to ASC’s 65+ exhibits for the duration of your event
- A laptop and delegate stationary can be provided upon request.
Drinks Reception Rate: £35 per person + VAT
(minimum 30 attendees)
Choose Aberdeen Science Centre for your next drinks reception, adding a unique twist to your event. Our Drinks Reception Rate includes:
- Dedicated event manager
- 3 hours evening hire of Aberdeen Science Centre in our Make It or Test It spaces
- IT equipment including drop-down screen
- 2-hours service of soft and alcoholic drinks
- Access to ASC’s 65+ exhibits for the duration of your event
- Add-on extra: Nibbles from £11 per person
Family BBQ Package: From £5,000 + VAT
(minimum 80 attendees)
Responsible for arranging the annual social outing? Look no further than Aberdeen Science Centre‘s Family BBQ package, offering exclusive access to the science centre alongside a delicious BBQ provided by Grub, plus of course a selection of fun, hands-on science activities for all the family.
Our Family BBQ Package includes:
- Dedicated event manager
- Exclusive use of Aberdeen Science Centre for a half day (1pm-5pm).
- Science on the Spot demonstrations throughout the day
- BBQ package for 80 attendees (60 adults/20 children as standard) including burgers, ‘posh sausages’, a range of salads and a soft drink for the adults.
Burger, hot dog, brownies, fruit platter and diluting juice for the kids.
- Additional adults can be added at £26 per person and addition children added at £15 per person.
- Add-on extra: Extra food, drinks or alcoholic drinks (discussed upon request).

We work with Grub Fresh Food and AV One to provide add-ons to your venue hire.
Grub Fresh Food
Grub Fresh Food provides catering from breakfast and lunch, to coffee and canapes. Everything is sourced and prepared locally for you and your guests to enjoy. You can either select from one of our package above, or create a bespoke package using Grub’s Catering Menu.
AV ONE
AV One provides the highest standard of audio and visual equipment as well as staging and technical support, bringing your event to life. This local company understands the importance of providing seamless technology during events and has managed events of all types and sizes throughout Europe.
