Role Purpose:
To help visitors to Aberdeen Science Centre get the most out of their time, by engaging with them while they explore our exhibits, where appropriate.
Collaborate with our communicator staff to create the five star visitor experience that we aspire to.
Support front of house staff as they engage with customers.
We stress that no experience is necessary, as training will be given.
Volunteers in this role would be expected to:
Bring a passion for fun and engaging experiences.
Approach and interact with visitors to help them get the most from their time.
Assist staff keeping exhibition areas tidy and ready to use.
Supporting school and community groups moving from area to area within the centre.
Report any broken or damaged exhibits or equipment to an appropriate person.
Interact with visitors at our reception area as they arrive and asking a few questions for surveys as they leave.
Carry out some other tasks/duties as deemed appropriate and reasonable including non-routine situations that arise.
