With fun and exciting live science demonstrations featuring fossils and volcanoes, archaeological excavation, virtual reality, plus hands-on activities throughout the centre, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

What to Expect  

Natural Disasters Workshop

Come along to our Natural Disasters workshop to learn about earth-shaking natural hazards and what causes them. From quakes to tornadoes, get hands on and create your own miniature disasters.

Fossils on the Spot

How do fossils form? Did you know rocks can glow in the dark? Our live science demonstration will investigate fossils and geology, showcasing a variety of interesting rock specimens, and allowing visitors to handle real fossils!

Under 6s Session

Designed for our younger visitors, this interactive story examines how archaeologists interpret their findings, as well as an exciting excavation activity for curious young scientists.

Floor Activities

Around the centre, you’ll find lots more fun and interactive activities along with all your favourite exhibits!
