Learning Lab – Powering the Future

Aberdeen Science Centre is excited to present ‘Learning Lab- Powering The Future.’  Designed by Glasgow Science Centre, this free programme supports teachers with curriculum-linked resources and inspires students with captivating and practical activities.  

Delivered by you, the class teacher, pupils will explore renewable technologies, the path to net zero,  and discover that they already have the skills needed for a future in the energy industry.

Thanks to funding from OPITO, participation is free for our local schools.

What does the programme include?

You will be supported with a treasure trove of resources, including; 

  • Meticulously designed lesson plans  
  • Engaging worksheets 
  • Exclusive video content 
  • Interactions with scientists 
  • Twilight professional learning sessions 
  • Family-learning activities 
  • A visit to Aberdeen Science Centre and OPITO Theatre of Energy 

There is a suggested teaching time of 2 hours a week, for 6 weeks. 

Two levels are available, Primary (P5-P7) and Secondary (S1-S2).
